About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support other team members with seasonal resets and installations. The role may occasionally involve products from other companies in the stores you service.

You perform service work in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. The position also supports seasonal demand, holiday services, department resets, fixture installations, and inventory support. Work takes place on selling floors and in back stockrooms, with a variable schedule averaging 10–13 hours per week. Availability around major holidays and for seasonal changeovers and installations is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement with local store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service and extended hours around seasonal demand and major holidays; work on certain holidays may be required.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Provide availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
