About The Position

The Field Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. The role collaborates with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the merchandiser may work with other companies’ products in the stores they service. The position provides service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily tasks and communication. The merchandiser is responsible for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and interacts professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Seasonal demand may bring additional workdays and extended hours before and after major holidays. Work may also include team assignments to build or install fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The work takes place on sales floors and in back stockrooms and involves frequent physical activity and lifting.
