About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser independently services Hallmark departments in assigned retail stores, using organization and time-management skills to maintain product displays and build relationships with store teams. The role includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products; communicating with a supervisor and completing required reporting and surveys using a Hallmark-provided mobile device; and providing professional, courteous service to store employees, management, and customers. Merchandisers may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores they service. The position also supports seasonal demand, including additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays. Holiday work may include weekends and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Merchandisers may assist with seasonal resets and installations, including building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evening or weekend work. Team members may also support other merchandisers in their territories as needed. This is a part-time role averaging 10–13 hours per week, with a variable work-week schedule. The starting pay rate is $17.50–$19.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees scheduled for fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. It involves frequently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.
