The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and present Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, and support seasonal merchandising needs. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, while communicating with a supervisor and completing required merchandising activities using a Hallmark-provided mobile device. Merchandisers may also support other team members in nearby territories and, on occasion, work with products from other companies in stores they service. This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends when needed, is required. Additional days and extended hours may be scheduled around holidays, and some holiday work may be required. The role also includes seasonal changeovers, installations, inventory support, and department resets, which may involve evenings or weekends. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. The merchandiser must regularly handle cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders. Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.
