About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to maintain Hallmark products and displays, build relationships with store teams, and represent Hallmark. You may also support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets, installations, and other store work. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The role averages 8–10 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Work includes day-to-day merchandising, additional seasonal work around major holidays, and department resets or installations. Holiday and remodel work may involve extended hours, evenings, weekends, or—in some cases—the holiday itself. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The starting rate is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

You will use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communications, including reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting. Travel to and between assigned stores is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures during the workday.
• Be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available for a variable part-time schedule averaging 8–10 hours per week.
• Be available to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support; work around major holidays may include weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in the Hallmark departments of assigned retail stores.
• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, including additional workdays or extended hours as needed.
• Support installations and department resets, including building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
