As a Merchandiser, you work independently in the Hallmark departments of assigned retail stores, showcasing organization and time-management skills, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark. You collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support teammates with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role includes day-to-day merchandising, holiday support, department resets, and collaboration with Hallmark’s field organization. Day-to-day work involves restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communications, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. The schedule is variable during the work week and averages 10–12 hours weekly. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around holidays, during seasonal changeovers, and for installations or inventory support. Some holiday work and evening or weekend remodel assignments may be required. This physically demanding position involves working on sales floors and in stockrooms. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; climbing stairs and step ladders may also be required. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours may access voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
