About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service the Hallmark department in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will maintain Hallmark product displays and inventory, build relationships with store teams, and represent Hallmark professionally. The role uses a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communication, and may occasionally involve working with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The position has a variable work-week schedule averaging 8–16 hours per week. Work may increase around seasonal holidays and may include extended hours, weekends, or work on certain holidays. You may also assist with seasonal changeovers, installations, remodels, department resets, and inventory support, sometimes alongside other merchandisers.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. It involves regularly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying merchandise and fixtures, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, and potentially climbing stairs or step ladders.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability for a variable work-week schedule averaging 8–16 hours per week.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to complete daily work, communicate with a supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys related to required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal holiday merchandising, including additional workdays or extended hours as demand requires.
• Assist with installations and department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
