About The Position

As a Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and inventory, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion, the role may include work with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The position involves service work in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Merchandisers maintain the full Hallmark product display at their assigned stores, use Hallmark-provided mobile technology for merchandising tasks and communication, support seasonal holiday demand, and may assist with department installations and resets. The work takes place on sales floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability for a variable schedule during the work week, averaging 10–12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to complete work, communicate with a supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service and extended hours around major holidays; some holiday work may be required.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
