About The Position
JCPenney Salon is seeking a Hair Stylist to provide professional styling services and create a superior client experience. The stylist will determine clients’ needs and provide services including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role calls for professionals who build relationships with clients, listen and interact to understand their expectations, and work collaboratively with the salon team in a learning-focused environment. Compensation is commission-based according to credential level, sales, and productivity, with 50–70% commission on service sales and 10% retail commission when paired with a service. The posting lists a pay range of $15.00–$16.00 per hour. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a bonus of up to $1,000. Requirements
- Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
- Demonstrate professional styling services.
- Be self-motivated and able to build a client fan base.
- Be able to partner with salon team members.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to participate in a learning environment.
- Have a passion for the beauty industry and strong people skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, sound decision-making, accountability, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
