About The Position
JCPenney Salon is seeking a Hair Stylist to provide professional styling services and create a superior client experience. Stylists determine clients’ needs and provide services that include current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role calls for building a client base, working collaboratively with salon team members, and participating in an ongoing learning environment. Commission is based on credential level, sales, and productivity, with Designer, Senior Designer, and Master Designer levels.
Requirements
- Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to build a client base.
- Ability to work collaboratively with salon team members.
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in a learning environment.
- Passion for the beauty industry and strong people skills.
- Ability to solve problems, make smart decisions, and execute work efficiently and effectively.
- Accountability, confidence, and energy in delivering customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional styling services, including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services.
- Determine clients’ needs and provide a superior client experience.
- Build a client base and respond to clients in a timely fashion by listening and interacting.
- Partner with salon team members.
- Solve problems and make decisions that support sales, profit, or customer service.
- Execute work efficiently and effectively and contribute to strong performance.
- Provide great customer service and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships.
- Proactively identify ways to improve the customer experience.
