About The Position
JCPenney Salon is seeking a hair stylist to provide professional styling services and help deliver a superior client experience. The stylist determines clients’ needs and provides services including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role calls for professionals who listen and interact with clients, understand their expectations, and respond in a timely manner. Stylists are expected to build a client base, work collaboratively with salon team members, and participate in a learning environment. Commission is based on credential level, sales, and productivity; levels include Designer, Senior Designer, and Master Designer.
Requirements
- Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, people skills, and a passion for the beauty industry.
- Ability to build a client base and collaborate with salon team members.
- Willingness to participate in a learning environment.
- Ability to solve problems, make smart decisions, and perform work efficiently and effectively.
- Provide great customer service, build positive and respectful relationships, and take accountability for actions and outcomes.
- Proactively seek to improve the customer experience and act with confidence, energy, and urgency.
