About The Position
JCPenney Salon is seeking a Hair Stylist to provide professional styling services and deliver a superior client experience. The stylist determines clients’ needs and provides services including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role involves building a client base, working collaboratively with salon team members, and participating in an ongoing learning environment. Compensation includes a stated pay range of $16.00 per hour, along with service-sales commission that varies by credential level, sales, and productivity. The posting also describes flexible scheduling, the ability to set service pricing, retail commission with a service, client acquisition programs, paid artistic training, and a bonus for qualified candidates. Some compensation details are restricted to specified designer credential levels. Requirements
- Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to build a client base.
- Work collaboratively with salon team members.

- Show a passion for the beauty industry and strong people skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, sound decision-making, accountability, and a customer-service focus.
