Weekend Hair Stylist
About The Position
Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as a stylist or barber, providing haircuts in a supportive, welcoming, team-focused environment. Great Clips salons are busiest on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, bringing a steady customer flow and opportunities to earn tips. Evening and weekend availability is required. The role offers flexible, part-time scheduling, with the possibility of picking up additional shifts depending on availability. Full-time and part-time schedules may be available at some salons. Stylists receive a reliable hourly wage plus tips and incentives, with stated earnings of $25–$40 per hour including tips and incentives. Great Clips provides customer traffic through walk-ins and Online Check-In, so stylists do not need to bring or market their own clientele, manage appointments, pay booth rent, or compete for walk-ins. The position includes skill training, one-on-one technical coaching, and ongoing development through Great Clips University, with opportunities for career advancement. Medical benefits and paid time off may be available at certain locations and may depend on hours worked. Great Clips has over 4,400 locally owned and operated salons across the U.S. and Canada. Individual salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
- Passion for haircutting and helping customers look and feel their best.
- Ability to listen and provide excellent customer service and genuine connections.
- Team-oriented attitude and desire to contribute to a great team culture.
