About The Position
LTC is seeking contracted Gujarati language interpreters in Indianapolis. This role involves accepting appointments on an as-needed basis to provide on-site, in-person interpretation services. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison, accurately interpreting between clients and various settings while adhering to privacy and confidentiality laws, including HIPAA.
Requirements
- Fluent in both English and Gujarati.
- Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Must live within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN.
Nice To Haves
- Interpreting certifications.
- Experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education and workplace settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site, in-person interpretation.
- Be a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
- Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
- Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.
