About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Guitar Technician to perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments and help maintain specific store inventory. The role supports the company’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and provide customers with a positive experience through skilled, high-quality work. Successful technicians are customer-focused, approachable, knowledgeable, and able to address customer service issues. They demonstrate initiative, learn quickly, build product and operational knowledge, and can train others by communicating techniques effectively. The role also involves completing Guitar Center’s certification program to develop a foundation in products and sales techniques.

Requirements

Skilled understanding of guitar repair.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and connect with customers.
Ability to identify opportunities and issues, take initiative, and follow through on work activities.
Ability to learn quickly and develop product, store operations, sales, and leadership knowledge.
Ability to work through Guitar Center’s certification program to gain a foundational understanding of products and sales techniques.
Ability to effectively train learners and communicate information and techniques.
