About The Position

The Guest Services Concierge provides personalized services to guests and patients in accordance with guidelines, policies, and procedures. This is a PRN role requiring flexibility to work at several different local locations.

The concierge welcomes patients, families, and visitors; provides information about local amenities and services; identifies and addresses guest needs; escorts people to hospital areas; and maintains customer-service standards. The role also involves keeping facility and local-area information current, cleaning and reporting the status of assigned equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of experience.
• Knowledge of customer-service methods and their benefits.
• Good verbal communication and effective non-verbal listening skills.
• Skill in using computers and related software applications.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to focus on important patient and guest details.
• Ability to diffuse anger, collect information, and resolve complaints.
• Flexibility to work at several different local locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer questions and provide information about local amenities, including dining, hotels, restaurants, flower shops, bus schedules, airline information, car rentals, and pharmacies.
• Identify and report visitors’, guests’, and patients’ needs; resolve customer issues or escalate them to a supervisor as required.
• Escort patients and visitors to hard-to-find hospital areas and refer them to services that address their needs and concerns.
• Maintain standards of customer-service excellence.
• Maintain current information and materials about facilities, services, local restaurants, and attractions.
• Clean assigned equipment and report its status.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and surrounding areas.
