About The Position

The Staybridge Suites Seattle-Fremont is looking to hire a Guest Service Representative. This role involves greeting guests, managing check-ins, handling reservations, controlling financial transactions, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The position requires a friendly and courteous demeanor, adherence to safety procedures, and contribution to departmental communication and operations.

Requirements

• Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to type 40+wpm
• Able to learn new web applications
• Strong work ethic
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to lift up-to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be flexible and have open availability, as there are no set days off
• Must be open to overtime when needed

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets and completes standard check-in procedures for arriving guests daily, using both manual and computerized methods ensuring guest satisfaction
• Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, in person, through email and telephone calls, and help guests with directions and area activities
• Controls and records financial transactions at a front desk
• Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on telephone
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
• Contributes and maintains established information and communication sources such as department and front desk log books to enhance department communications and operations
• Aids other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
• Ensure safety by following the safety and sanitation procedures and reporting suspicious activity to management
