About The Position

Maintain hotel rooms and the building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors. The role involves cleaning and inspecting guest rooms, replenishing supplies, handling room keys and cleaning equipment, and following established procedures for cleaning agents. The attendant must be able to work in confined spaces, collaborate with coworkers, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Ability to lift bedspreads weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using cleaning tools and agents.
Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for the use of cleaning agents.
Strip and make beds and change bed linens.
Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
Vacuum rooms and empty trash.
Replenish guest-room amenities, linens, and supplies.
Sign for and retrieve room keys, deliver them to assigned rooms, and restock the heavy cart.
Inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance and indicate when room cleaning is complete.
Follow attendance rules and maintain regular work availability.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Help coworkers with their duties and contribute as a team player.
