About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant cleans and services assigned guest rooms according to category priority and hotel and franchise standards. The role maintains quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments, reports maintenance deficiencies, responds to guest requests and complaints, and protects the confidentiality and security of guest rooms. Other duties include following housekeeping, safety, and security procedures; returning and restocking the cart at the end of the shift; and completing scheduled deep or seasonal cleaning. The attendant must be available for a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they can understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to category priority and hotel and franchise standards.
• Maintain established standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints.
• Handle guest complaints to help ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Follow house rules, safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
• Return and restock the cart at the end of the shift.
• Complete scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
