About The Position

At Placemakr, home meets hospitality through apartment-like spaces in hand-picked neighborhoods, supported by technology-enabled buildings. Property team members focus on execution and creating great experiences for residents and guests. The Guest Experience Associate is an on-site member of the Property Team and serves as the primary point of contact for guests and residents throughout their stays. The role calls for a service-oriented, collaborative person who embodies Placemakr’s community norms and helps deliver exceptional guest and resident experiences. This is a full-time position in Arlington, Virginia, paying $21.00 per hour. The schedule includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, with rotational days of the week. Flexible scheduling, including three- and four-day full-time work weeks, may be available depending on location and position.

Requirements

At least one year of previous experience delivering excellent customer service in hospitality, retail, multifamily, or food and beverage environments.
Previous experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing.
Ability to learn and use systems or technology.
Can-do attitude and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Ability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays on a rotational schedule.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience using a point-of-sale (POS), customer relationship management (CRM), or customer communication system.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional experience to guests, residents, and partners, acting as a trusted friend and local insider.
Collaborate with fellow property team members and foster a one-team mentality.
Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for team members and guests.
Support team members and help de-escalate situations when required.
Respond promptly and effectively to written guest communications through channels including text, email, HubSpot, and Airbnb.
Communicate effectively with guests, team members, vendors, and other internal and external customers.
Check guests into their assigned rooms in accordance with Placemakr standards.
Collect a payment method at check-in according to established protocols.
Use maintenance, housekeeping, check-in, and other systems accurately.
Respond promptly and effectively to off-site, cross-functional team members through Teams, email, or other communication methods.
Complete thorough and effective shift handovers.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
