About The Position

Anthropic is seeking a strategic program manager to own high-priority go-to-market initiatives that span teams such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Revenue Operations, Enablement, Finance, Legal, and Partnerships. The role takes ambiguous requests or data signals, identifies root causes, develops solutions with subject-matter experts, and drives programs from strategy and planning through launch, operationalization, measurement, and iteration. Work includes both large cross-functional programs and short, focused efforts addressing urgent questions. This is a highly autonomous, strategic individual-contributor position. The manager partners with Sales and GTM leaders to identify and prioritize worthwhile programs, structure ambiguous problems into analysis and plans, align stakeholders without formal authority, and engage senior executives on program status and outcomes. The role also supports field adoption, tracks measures such as adoption, time-to-value, and productivity impact, uses AI tools in daily work, and establishes templates, cadence, and reporting for future programs. Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial. The role is based under a hybrid policy: staff are currently expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more. The minimum education is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience, in a field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience. Visa sponsorship may be available, subject to role and candidate circumstances.

Requirements

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs from problem definition through delivery, in strategy consulting, strategy and operations, GTM or sales programs, or program management.
  • Track record of turning ambiguous problems into clear, defensible recommendations.
  • Experience driving initiatives to completion across teams the candidate does not manage, including when senior stakeholders disagree.
  • Analytical skills, including building business cases and quantitative models, defining targets, and independently pulling and analyzing data from CRM and BI tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting analysis and recommendations to senior and executive audiences.
  • Working understanding of how an enterprise sales organization operates.
  • Experience building programs or processes where none existed and owning outcomes through to results.
  • Motivation to support Anthropic’s mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • A field of study relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools daily to work faster and more rigorously, including building workflows with Claude or similar tools.
  • Experience at a company selling technical or AI products.
  • Experience as an early hire in a new team or function.

Responsibilities
