About The Position

LemFi is seeking a Growth Manager to drive its expansion across Ghanaian communities in the United States and Canada. This is a hands-on growth role focused on travel, community engagement, and direct execution. The role involves spending 3 to 5 days every few weeks in various US or Canadian cities, representing LemFi at Ghanaian community events, forging partnerships, and accelerating user acquisition. The Growth Manager will be embedded within the communities served, acting as both a strategic planner and a frontline operator. They will be responsible for growth outcomes in their assigned markets, collaborating closely with Growth, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams, and serving as the internal advocate for the user's voice.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced environments with a background in growth, sales, marketing or similar.
  • Deep understanding of the Ghanaian community in the United States and Canada.
  • Culturally fluent and comfortable immersing yourself in new cultural environments.
  • Proven ability to work against targets and deliver measurable results.
  • Motivated by ambitious goals and comfortable being measured against clear KPIs.
  • Strong data-driven mindset; interpret data, track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Persuasive communicator who can influence partners and leaders.
  • Entrepreneurial and tenacious; take ownership, push through obstacles and find ways to win.
  • Biased to action, think critically and move quickly.
  • Self-motivated and effective working independently and in remote environments.
  • Willing to travel extensively and work occasional weekends to support market growth.

Responsibilities

  • Travel across the USA and Canada 3 to 5 days every few weeks, establishing on-the-ground presence in new cities.
  • Attend community events, build and expand LemFi's community network, network with local leaders and organizations, and grow relationships.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive user acquisition strategies tailored to Ghanaian ex-pat communities in the US and Canada.
  • Own growth targets for assigned markets and optimize campaigns using data and insights.
  • Lead community-driven initiatives to build trust, awareness and advocacy for LemFi.
  • Organize and participate in local events, meetups and forums.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and grassroots partners.
  • Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships with relevant organizations and businesses to accelerate user growth.
  • Ensure partnerships deliver mutual value and measurable outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to understand user needs, behaviours and preferences.
  • Provide actionable insights to Product and Marketing teams.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the user, representing community perspectives in decision-making.
