About The Position

As a Design Manager on Superhuman’s Growth Design team, you will lead web and top-of-funnel growth design across the company. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of brand, product, and growth, owning the design quality and strategic performance of web experiences that introduce Superhuman to prospective customers. This is a hands-on, player-coach role focused on web technology, emerging web trends, prototyping, setting vision, raising craft, and shipping high-quality web experiences. You will lead and work alongside designers across web growth, conversion optimization, experimentation, testing, and interactive productized web experiences. You will partner with Growth Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Data Science. Superhuman offers a dynamic hybrid working model, combining focus time with in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading web design teams working on top-of-funnel, conversion, or acquisition surfaces in an environment with high standards for design quality and business outcomes.

  • Exceptional collaboration with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data; able to navigate priorities, align stakeholders, and drive decisions.
  • Clear communication of design decisions to teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners, including explaining design quality in business and growth terms.

  • Lead the design of interactive web experiences, including logged-out product experiences, personalization opportunities, and other tools that provide value to visitors and support customer acquisition.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow a team of growth web and content designers; foster high craft, iteration, bold design perspectives, and strong cross-functional partnership.
  • Help designers develop their design skills and strategic thinking, and advocate for a high design bar with cross-functional partners.
