Kin Insurance•St. Petersburg, FL
•$139,000 - $166,500•Remote

About The Position

Kin is seeking a Product Manager to help create a seamless shopping experience across its growing product portfolio, which includes homeowners insurance, auto, flood, property tax appeals, and home financing. The role will lead the transition of Kin’s quoting experience to a new multi-product platform, sequencing the retirement of legacy systems while avoiding disruption to the teams and customers who rely on them. Beyond migration, the Product Manager will help streamline quote customization for agents and customers across multiple channels. This is an individual-contributor role partnering closely with other product managers, engineering, Sales and Operations leaders, and stakeholders across teams. The Product Manager will own the quoting migration and customization roadmap, take capabilities from prototype through production rollout, coordinate cross-team dependencies, and improve the agent and customer quoting experience. The work includes experimentation, precise product specifications, and building AI-native workflows. Kin is a remote-first company with offices in Chicago, Illinois, and St. Petersburg, Florida. This position may be performed remotely from one of the listed eligible U.S. states. Candidates must be able to live and work full-time in an eligible state.

  • Ability to operate amid ambiguity across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Technical fluency to contribute to architecture and data model discussions and understand how platform decisions affect reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience building quoting, checkout, or sales workflows across agent-assisted and self-service channels that integrate with third-party platforms.
  • Hands-on SQL and business intelligence skills, such as Databricks or Looker, to size problems and scope improvements.
  • AI-forward approach, using AI tools to increase personal throughput and prototype ideas quickly.
  • Clear, concise communication with technical and business audiences.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering, design, and stakeholders to take quoting capabilities from prototype through production rollout.
  • Coordinate dependencies and timelines across teams and stakeholders, surfacing risks and trade-offs early.
  • Improve the quoting experience for agents and customers to reduce time to quote and friction to bind.
  • Lead experiments in customized and cross-channel quoting, defining hypotheses and success metrics and determining next steps from results.
  • Write precise specifications and requirements that allow engineering teams to build features and capabilities with minimal back-and-forth.
  • Build and scale AI-native workflows for the quoting experience.
  • Transition product lines to the new platform and retire legacy systems, or establish a dated path to retirement.
  • Scope and ship product changes that measurably improve lead-to-bind conversion rates.
  • Drive efficiency and automation of quoting across multiple channels.
  • Enable the quoting experience to scale across channels, states, and lines of business as the product portfolio grows.
