The Group Services Supervisor supports the Group Services department as the #2 to the Group Services Manager. This role is responsible for coordinating the setup and breakdown of all group services events through the utilization of the Group Services Hosts and Leads. The supervisor helps ensure all events operate flawlessly in accordance with operational standards and BEO contracts, and that the Group Services team is delivering food and drinks in a timely manner, per contract specifications. This position also maintains the overall cleanliness and organization of event space, and appropriate levels of food for the duration of group events. The supervisor communicates with the kitchen regarding food cook and pickup times, and ensures event hosts/hostesses are greeted in a timely manner upon arrival, per contract specification. They resolve all guest issues in a timely manner, involving the appropriate level of management where necessary. Additionally, the supervisor designs and distributes schedules for all group services staff, controlling labor to meet standards, and oversees the training of all Group Services team members. Maintaining uniform standards and a professional appearance is also a key responsibility.
