About The Position

The Group Sales Coordinator plays a key role in growing skier visits through group programs, corporate ticketing, partner shops and lodges, and school partnerships. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this person will oversee account management, generate new sales, and ensure a seamless and on-brand experience for all groups. This position also supports the expansion of summer programs, community partnerships, and trade show presence. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to stay focused, positive, and collaborative under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Siriusware or similar ticketing/CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with group sales, travel trade, or resort operations.
  • Ski resort experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow accounts across day groups, school groups, shops and lodges, tour operators, private events, and corporate voucher programs.
  • Seek out new business opportunities to drive skier visits and explore summer program growth.
  • Field incoming inquiries for group sales and private events.
  • Contract and facilitate day group experiences, from arrival to departure.
  • Act as each group's ambassador, providing a smooth and on-brand guest experience.
  • Organize and host site tours and FAM tours as needed.
  • Prepare lift tickets, rental, and ski and ride school orders accurately through Siriusware, ensuring all details are correctly managed.
  • Deliver tickets as needed.
  • Support the Business Development Manager with sales planning, lead generation, and reporting.
  • Attend trade shows and special events to promote Sierra-at-Tahoe programs.
  • Conduct in-market sales calls and client visits in the Tahoe region and drive markets.
  • Build community connections through networking and local involvement.
  • Maintain accurate weekly sales reports using Excel, Siriusware, and other programs.
  • Closely collaborate with the ticket office to ensure seamless processing of corporate and group tickets.
  • Assist in building the annual sales plan and contribute ideas for new revenue opportunities.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with guests, partners, and internal departments, including Ski and Ride School, Rentals, F&B, Events, the Ticket Office, Marketing and Sales, to deliver outstanding results for clients.
  • Participate in cross-departmental efforts and job sharing to enhance guest experience.
  • Uphold resort safety standards, participate in safety meetings, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
