About The Position

The Group Facilitator will deliver an educational program in a group format for adult men convicted of a domestic violence offense. This 26-week program, known as Explore Willimantic, focuses on educating offenders about the impact of violence in various relationships and teaching them skills to manage stress and emotions productively. The role involves attending assigned trainings, providing case formulation related to client treatment readiness, utilizing supervision for service improvement, attending assigned supervision for the program, and maintaining documentation in compliance with agency and program standards. The facilitator will also participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other assigned meetings, with additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with content area: eg. Substance abuse, domestic violence.
  • Experience with groups or education setting.
  • For PTIP, substance abuse credential is required.
  • Training in content area of group.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.
  • For PTIP: CAC plus relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities
