About The Position

This position provides customer service to people using customer or charter services, responds promptly and politely to inquiries, and completes required passenger transactions. Additional work includes cargo handling, ramp operations, aircraft cleaning, and other assigned duties. The work takes place in an airport environment, indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures and elevated noise levels. The position requires varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds for extended periods.
Ability to read and write English; bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and obtain security clearance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and in elevated airport noise levels.
Pleasant, cooperative attitude when working with others.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient, friendly service to customers.
Arrange passenger services, including preparing itineraries, computing fares, issuing tickets and refunds, checking baggage, and collecting excess baggage charges.
Arrange passenger reservations, standby travel, luggage, cabin availability, and in-flight supplies.
Guide passengers between the terminal and aircraft while ensuring a safe path.
Load and unload cargo on and off aircraft.
Transport cargo between terminals and aircraft and physically handle freight and company materials.
Marshal aircraft and equipment.
Operate ground equipment, including tugs and belt loaders.
Clean and service cabin interiors, including the cockpit and lavatories, and drain lavatories.
Use safety-related equipment and provide aircraft de-icing service when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
