About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Groomer at Club Fetch to provide grooming services and a safe, caring experience for pets. The Groomer styles pets according to owner preferences or breed standards, performs basic hygiene services, and works with pet parents and teammates to support each pet’s grooming needs. The role includes professional equipment, flexible scheduling, quality-over-quantity expectations, and opportunities for continuing education and career growth. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Professional grooming experience is required.
• Proven experience grooming a wide range of breeds and coat types.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and safely manage large or nervous dogs.
• Ability to work in a physically active environment with heat, cold, water, and noise.
• Comfort with exposure to fur, cleaning chemicals, wet pets, accidents, and unpredictable animal behavior.
• Time management, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.
• Familiarity with pet behavior, stress signals, and safe handling practices.
• Clear communication with clients, teammates, and pets.
• Reliability, calmness under pressure, and enthusiasm for continued learning.
• Love of animals and commitment to treating each pet with care.

Responsibilities

• Snip, shape, and style pets according to owner preferences or breed standards.
• Trim nails, clean ears, brush teeth, and tidy pets’ coats and tails.
• Bathe dogs or work with bathers to prepare pets for grooming.
• Discuss grooming needs, coat care, and styles with pet parents.
• Keep the grooming station neat and tools sharp.
• Assist the front desk when pets are ready for pickup.
• Provide a calm, kind, and safe experience for every animal in care.
• Represent Destination Pet’s values of compassion, quality, and community.
