Grocery & Receiving Department Manager
About The Position
Bi-Mart is seeking a hardworking and energetic Grocery Department Manager to build, promote, and deliver a high degree of customer service. The role serves customers promptly and courteously, handles customer transactions precisely, ensures sales clerks receive required breaks, and works with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership. Additional duties may include replenishing inventory, properly unloading trucks, and helping train new employees on department responsibilities. The position is part of the Store Team, which works to maintain high customer service and friendliness and create a welcoming shopping experience for customers. Store hours are 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Sunday; hours may vary depending on workload and assignment. Pay is $19.30–$20.95 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with an on-demand payment option.
Requirements
- Communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Arrive on time with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Set priorities and organize workload.
- Efficiently solve problems and offer solutions to customers.
- Engage with and assist a variety of individuals.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Think strategically and lead.
- At least 1 year as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, courtesy clerk, or in another retail position.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons.
