GROCERY OVERNIGHT/CLERK
About The Position
Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. This includes treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, promoting an inclusive work environment, being a responsible community member, and providing the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Role-model the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The role supports overnight grocery operations by unloading trucks, sorting and moving merchandise, stocking shelves and displays, and applying price labels. The employee must be able to perform the position’s essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Conduct yourself professionally, maintain a positive attitude, and speak positively about the company around customers and employees.
- Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
- Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
- Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the store area where it will be stocked.
- Load merchandise onto carts and place it on designated shelves in the back room or sales floor for proper display.
- Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
- Manually attach price labels to items.
- Bring merchandise from the back room to stock sales-floor shelves and build special sales displays.
- Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
