About The Position

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. The role supports fair and ethical treatment, an inclusive work environment, responsible community membership, and providing the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Work includes unloading deliveries, sorting and moving merchandise, stocking shelves, labeling items, and building sales displays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct yourself professionally, maintain a positive attitude, and speak highly of the company in the presence of customers or other employees.
• Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
• Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
• Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the store area where it will be stocked.
• Load merchandise onto carts and place it on designated shelves in the back room or sales floor for proper display.
• Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
• Manually attach price labels to each item.
• Bring merchandise from the back room to stock sales floor shelves and build special sales displays.
• Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
