Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products sold in the store.
Maintain knowledge of department products and respond to questions or suggest products.
Assist with customer requests, including retrieving, lifting, and locating products.
Greet customers, help load merchandise onto the conveyor belt, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
Assist with removing merchandise from the bottom of customers’ shopping carts for checkout.
Follow customers’ bagging preferences politely and properly.
Bag items using appropriate reusable, plastic, or paper bags while preventing damage.
Offer assistance loading bags into customers’ cars.
Control shrink by following company initiatives, including bottom-of-basket inspections, cart transfers, and proper placement of go-backs.
Retrieve carts from the parking area using a cart strap, push no more than six carts at a time, and return carts to designated areas.
Learn the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
Display a positive, friendly attitude.
Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify store management.
Perform and log safety sweeps by inspecting the entire sales floor every half hour.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Maintain cleanliness in areas including lobbies, vending machines, restrooms, the sales floor, spills, check stands, carts, hand baskets, and the front of the building and parking lot.
Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
Collaborate with Front-end associates to encourage teamwork.
Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
Ensure compliance with merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, and associate and customer engagement rules.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
