Greeter - Part Time
About The Position
The Greeter performs customer service activities at the store’s front end, including welcoming customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other front-end business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to provide an exceptional customer experience that helps every guest feel welcomed and appreciated. The role includes greeting customers, promoting store programs, checking in returned merchandise and vendor representatives, sharing information about events and promotions, and keeping the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe. Greeters assist with firearm and weapon check-in by notifying an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle a firearm while performing their duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Self-motivation and initiative while working unsupervised.
Responsibilities
- Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
- Present a professional image in accordance with the company’s customer-service and dress-code standards, including the applicable logo shirt and visible name badge, appropriate apparel and footwear, a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
- Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
- Check in vendor representatives, complete required visitor-log information, and control visitor badges.
- Stay informed about store special events and inform customers about event details, sales, and promotions; provide promotional materials as appropriate.
- Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
- Assist with customer check-in of firearms and weapons by notifying the appropriately trained and designated Outfitter in accordance with company SOP; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
