About The Position

The Greeter performs customer service activities at the store’s front end. The role includes greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other front-end business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to deliver a welcoming customer experience that makes guests feel appreciated.

The Greeter promotes programs such as CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup; checks in returned merchandise and vendor representatives; shares information about store events, sales, and promotions; and helps keep the entryway and nearby work area clean, tidy, and safe. For customer firearm or weapon check-in, the Greeter notifies an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter to complete the process under company SOP. Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties.

The role works under general supervision and follows established procedures, with occasional independent judgment in completing assignments and making recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional image and follow the applicable dress code and customer-service brand standards.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor-log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay informed about special events and tell customers about event details, sales, and promotions.
• Provide customers with promotional materials supporting special events.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Notify an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter to complete customer firearm or weapon check-in according to company SOP; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
