The Greeter performs customer-service and front-end activities, including greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to provide a welcoming customer experience. The role works under general supervision and uses established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. Greeters welcome customers as they enter, promote store programs, check in merchandise returns and vendor representatives, and inform customers about store events, sales, and promotions. They help keep the entryway clean, tidy, and safe. For firearm or weapon check-in, Greeters notify an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. The role requires regular walking and standing, frequent communication, and repeated motions involving the wrists, hands, or fingers. It also involves occasional computer work, lifting, and exposure to temperature variations, outdoor elements, and noisy environments. Team lifting may be used for heavier items.
