About The Position

To serve as backup instructor for Greek Lab throughout the academic year. This position is for a student employee (non-exempt) in the Classics Department at St. Olaf College. The wage range is $11.75-12.75/hour.

Requirements

• Must be a student who has taken two, preferably three or more, courses in Greek
• Must be trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be articulate and have good interpersonal skills

• Preferably three or more courses in Greek

Responsibilities

• Organize, prepare for, and conduct Greek Lab for students in Greek 111 and Greek 112 whenever Greek Lab Instructor is unavailable
• Create exercises and conduct drills to help students learn Greek vocabulary and understand Greek grammar and syntax
• Support students who are having difficulties with Greek
• Motivate students to continue studying Greek
• Communicate with professors who are teaching Greek 111 and Greek 112
