About The Position

The Government Property Administrator, located in Menomonee Falls, WI, is responsible for managing and maintaining accountability for all Government- and Customer-owned property within DRS. This role ensures compliance with Government, customer, and company requirements through accurate property tracking, inventory control, audit readiness, shipping oversight, contract closeout support, reporting, and coordination with DCMA, program teams, and external customers.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be familiar with Government reporting
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from management or the Government
  • Must have adequate computer skills including MS applications
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be certified forklift operator
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and controls all Government- and Customer-owned property within DRS; maintains accountability records; ensures property is entered into the appropriate tracking system and that incoming documentation is filed.
  • Establishes and implements Government Property Administration processes; performs incoming processing in accordance with ISO procedures; maintains property control in systems including Air Force and Army CAVs and Lockheed Martin ADIS.
  • Maintains requisitioned-parts records and ensures parts are used only for the appropriate supporting program; processes tracking-system transactions and investigates, resolves, and reports anomalies; administers and secures the Government Stores Area, maintains location records, and manages Production Storeroom, Shipping, and Receiving activities monthly.
  • Serves as the primary Government Property contact for DCMA; supports quarterly DCMA reviews; manages inventories and audits, including DCMA audits and annual requests; schedules sampling inventories and reports results to DCMA and Program Customers; conducts internal audits to maintain Government and company audit readiness.
  • Verifies Government shippers have proper authority and required confirmations; supports Contracts with information needed for contract closeout, property transfer, and disposition; manages Scrap and Excess Inventory in PCARSS; follows Plant Clearance Officer instructions, including munitions-part demolition/disassembly.
  • Prepares requested reports and monthly metrics; creates, delivers, and tracks Government Property Equipment handling training; represents the organization with internal and external personnel; and may review records, statements, and reports prepared by lower-level personnel.
