Global VP of Marketing

Catapult SportsNew York, NY
$198,127 - $537,772

About The Position

Catapult is a sports technology company focused on building the future of sports performance technology with the mission to Unleash the Potential of every athlete and team on earth. Since 2006, Catapult has been a leader in sports performance software, science, and data, working with over 5,000+ teams globally in premier leagues such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, and NCAA. The company provides critical information to optimize athlete health, game-day readiness, performance, and in-game tactics. Catapult empowers professional teams to make data-driven decisions, delivering health, performance, video, and AI insights to ensure every decision provides a competitive advantage. The Global VP of Marketing will be responsible for leading Catapult's global marketing strategy and execution, encompassing brand, content, digital marketing, product marketing, demand generation, and events. This role involves leading a team to build the brand, generate demand and revenue, and expand market share, with all initiatives aligned to product launches and commercial targets. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded marketing leader, proficient in both brand/storytelling and digital execution/data, with hands-on go-to-market experience in a SaaS business and a proven track record of achieving commercial results. While deep sports tech expertise is a plus, strong B2B marketing instincts and the ability to quickly learn the category are prioritized.

Requirements

  • Proven success leading end-to-end product launches, from go-to-market strategy through to measurable commercial impact.
  • Hands-on GTM experience in a SaaS-modeled business. Comfortable being held to commercial/revenue KPIs.
  • A track record of building compelling brand and product stories, and equally credible on narrative and positioning as on performance and data.
  • 10-15+ years in marketing, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with success managing cross-functional, global resources.
  • Fluency A/B testing, conversion optimization, and segmentation, and working knowledge with marketing automation, analytics, and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive-level decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sports, tech, or entertainment is a plus, not a requirement. We're prioritizing strong B2B marketing leadership and expect the right candidate to pick up sports tech quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own Product Launch Success: Partner with Product and Sales from roadmap through launch, owning go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for every major product and feature release. Build a repeatable playbook that improves with each release, and be accountable for the commercial impact of every launch.
  • Drive Hands-On, Commercially-Measured GTM: Own the marketing engine from pipeline to revenue, including demand generation, product marketing, and sales alignment, and be comfortable being held to the same commercial KPIs as a SaaS revenue leader (pipeline contribution, CAC, LTV, ARR growth). Bring a hands-on, in-the-detail approach to GTM execution, be as comfortable reviewing a campaign brief as presenting to the board.
  • Own Brand & Storytelling: Define and protect a strong, cohesive brand identity and narrative that positions Catapult as the definitive leader in sports data and performance technology. Ensure our story is consistent, compelling, and differentiated across every region and channel.
  • Lead and Develop the Marketing Team: Build, mentor, and lead a global marketing team, setting strategy and standards. Be accountable for what the team delivers across brand, digital, content, product marketing, and demand gen.
  • Report on Impact: Bring a data-driven mindset to the role: track and report marketing's contribution to pipeline, revenue, and brand health, and use that data to sharpen strategy. Own the marketing budget, allocating it to the channels and partners that drive the best return.
