Requirements

  • Highly skilled in product management and possess deep expertise in valve actuation across various process industry segments.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in product management within a comparable business environment.
  • Enhanced knowledge of pneumatic systems.
  • Passionate about developing winning product strategies and driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated track record in cross-functional leadership, including collaboration with engineering, sales, operations, and service teams.
  • Proven experience of product management in industrial automation, valve actuation, or process control solutions.
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At ease communicating in English and ideally German.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the marketing of ABB’s offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets.
  • Accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer.
  • Support business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.
  • Lead the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
  • Own technical and market specification for the offer and determine an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.
  • Lead the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.
  • Set targets, monitor offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
