About The Position

CoVerica is a premier, employee-owned independent insurance agency with over 40 years of history, expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. They are seeking a Global Construction Associate Account Manager to provide administrative support to their Heavy Construction practice. This role involves partnering with Producers and senior Account Managers, building a strong foundation in commercial property and casualty insurance. The position offers a hybrid work structure with 2 days in the office per week (Thursdays mandatory, second day flexible) and utilizes the Vertafore AMS360 Agency Management System. While general lines insurance experience is a plus, it is not required, as the company will support the employee in obtaining their Texas P&C license within the first 90 days.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service or administrative experience.
  • Genuine desire to grow into commercial insurance account management.
  • Willingness to obtain a Texas General Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License within your first 90 days of employment (required after hire).
  • Willingness to complete the Total CSR coursework program within your first 90 days of employment.
  • Comfort navigating AMS360 or a comparable agency management system, agency databases, and spreadsheet formatting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — the ability to distill complex insurance issues into clear, concise explanations for clients.
  • Sharp attention to detail and the organizational skills to juggle multiple accounts, renewals, and deadlines at once.

  • General lines insurance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Producers and senior Account Managers in marketing new and renewal business, determining premiums, preparing presentation packets, and maintaining underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
  • Develop and maintain proactive communication with clients and carrier underwriters on behalf of the account team.
  • Assist clients in submitting first reports of claims and coordinate follow-up with carriers.
  • Respond to client needs on endorsements, certificates of insurance, and billing questions.
  • Process non-premium bearing endorsements accurately within agency guidelines.
  • Order, audit, and organize historical loss runs from carrier systems.
  • Produce accurate auto ID cards, policies, endorsements, and certificates of insurance (COI) within AMS360 once licensed.
  • Maintain electronic client files in an orderly, up-to-date manner according to agency standards, and follow agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) guidelines on every account.
  • Utilize AMS360 to run a structured workflow follow-up loop, monitoring outstanding carrier orders, client correspondence, and past-due items.
  • Meet agency, department, and account service goals and deadlines while managing a high-volume personal workload.
  • Build working knowledge of commercial rating procedures, coverages, and Heavy Construction industry operations.
  • Develop a full understanding of available insurance markets and how to place business within them.
  • Coordinate productively with clients, multi-state carriers, external vendors, and internal agency teams.
  • Take on special projects at management's request, and stay current on commercial insurance regulations, coverage updates, and emerging risk management technology.
