About The Position

The Global Care and Impact Manager will advance QTS business success by driving impact and trust in our communities, shaping our culture, and modeling care for others. This role will help the Community Impact team in the development, execution, and growth of strategy, programs, and processes that focus our work internally and externally, such as providing care for employees and their families; boosting leadership and participation in events, engagement programs and volunteerism; and building strong relationships with nonprofit community partners. This position is required to office at any of our QTS locations and will require significant travel within the US.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience preferably in a related field
  • Five or more years of serving people/social work or related experience, ten years preferred.
  • Three years project management and major event lead experience
  • Initiative, cross-functional collaboration, planning, and coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization and with external partners
  • Technological proficiency in MS365 and familiarity with a CRM
  • Proven skill in various levels of leading others, counseling/mentoring/coaching
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about various world faith systems which will enable an interdisciplinary understanding of all employees
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all internal communications
  • Display a high level of emotional strength and stability while providing special care and support

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Community Impact team and other business leaders to assist with the administration and implementation of various Community Impact strategic objectives, programs, processes, projects, and activities.
  • Support and promote the QTS mission, strategy, and core values as a champion of culture and servant leadership.
  • Serve as a confidential listener for employees and support employees in crisis, assisting with connecting them to additional support and resources, as needed for their wellbeing while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Recruit and partner with employee volunteer leads in multiple markets to deliver and administer engagement programs, events, initiatives, special projects, and volunteer opportunities; develop, lead and execute these opportunities in new, emerging, or transitional markets.
  • Act as a cross-functional partner with other internal teams, such as government relations, marketing, and development, among others, to coordinate and report on community engagement activities within assigned markets; work with Community Impact leadership to identify opportunities for community volunteerism and nonprofit support that address key community needs; management and coordination of market events in cooperation with other teams and local employee volunteer leads.
  • Perform location visits to participate in or provide leadership and coordination of activities, corporate events, sponsored events, volunteer engagement, care needs of employees, or to build/nurture local nonprofit partnerships; establish a schedule of location visits coordinated with Community Impact team and other leaders that focus on employee interactions to build trusting relationships with all employees.
  • Responsible to be available for crisis response activities to support SVP and Community Impact team, including but not limited to hospital calls, assisting at funerals, and other related duties; after hours support on some evenings and weekends may be required to respond to the needs of employees or their families.
  • Other and varied duties, as this role requires flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities.
