About The Position

The Impact Manager will be a pivotal part of the Woodcraft Rangers team, supporting the creation, implementation, analysis, and evolution of data tracking systems and procedures. The Impact Manager will work as part of the Executive Team but serve as a support for all departments of Woodcraft Rangers, with notable collaboration with Programs, Learning and Development, and Operations. The Impact Manager will serve as the primary resource within Woodcraft Rangers to track program impact, establish systems of measurement, research industry tools and trends, and promote interdepartmental communication to support effective and intentional agency growth and development. This work will include, but not be limited to, building evaluation systems and procedures, tracking program outcomes and operational statistics, and supporting agency goals and reporting. To accomplish this, this individual will support the creation of survey tools and impact reports to be used throughout the organization and shared externally with partners. They will also manage key partnerships and research and cultivate new collaborations that support efficiency and effectiveness. The Impact Manager will also work to research and develop evaluation best practices, create organizational protocols, systems, and trainings, and support with additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in data collection and data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee data collection and tracking procedures, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation for Woodcraft Rangers both internally and externally.
  • Set standards and protocols for data accountability, including data collection and entry, timeliness, quality, validity, and security.
  • Work interdepartmentally to generate impact reports that support both staff development and fundraising efforts. Incorporate research into report processes and create procedures with best practices.
  • In collaboration with Woodcraft Rangers' Strategy team, fulfill grant and fundraising requirements relating to data and evaluation, including preparing and/or providing reports to Woodcraft's Board of Directors, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Research fields of youth development, outdoor education, trauma-informed/healing-centered practices, and other topics relevant to existing and future programs to identify important data points.
  • Manage existing and cultivate new partnerships related to evaluation, including but not limited to Hello Insight, SurveyMonkey, and Engage by Cell.
  • Maintain communication with Program Leadership team with ongoing updates on data management, programmatic data reporting timelines, and site staff member needs.
  • Oversee professional development and training for Woodcraft staff in data management, tracking, improvement, quality standards, and evaluation.
  • Represent the organization at relevant events and activities regarding data tracking, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation.
  • Provide ongoing analysis and interpretation of data and evidence to ensure that Woodcraft Rangers adjusts its interventions to improve individual student, site, and organization-wide outputs and outcomes.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure accurate process evaluation implementation, further investigate results, and gather site-specific information.
  • Support with operational build out of new systems and training to be utilized in expansion to Inland Empire.
  • Other functions as needed.
