About The Position

Verizon is seeking a Global Bid Proposals Manager in its Global Bid Management department. The role oversees proposal activities from assigning team members and creating templates through delivery of polished, competitive proposals. The manager leads proposal teams through development, manages schedules and review cycles, and supports Verizon’s efforts to pursue and capture new business. The work involves applying project management principles and knowledge of Verizon technologies, policies, practices, and procedures, along with strong communication, team-building, and leadership skills. The successful candidate is driven to grow the business, meets deadlines with urgency, works across groups to address customer needs, and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment. They manage, mentor, motivate, and support team members; communicate clearly; take accountability for projects; and can step into different roles when needed. They must be comfortable managing complex opportunities and diverse response teams under pressure while balancing shifting priorities. This is a hybrid role with a defined work location. Employees work from home and in the office at least three days per week, with the schedule set by the manager, and are responsible for following Verizon’s hybrid work policies. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and may require travel up to 25%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
Proposal management work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data management programs.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Strong verbal and written communication, team-building, and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage complex opportunities and diverse response teams under deadlines and pressure.

Responsibilities

Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify requirements and evaluation criteria.
Prepare proposal outlines and compliance matrices, establish response strategies with the team, and identify potential gaps.
Manage the complete proposal lifecycle, including schedules, milestones, drafting, reviews, production, and status meetings.
Allocate and coordinate leaders, writers, and subject matter experts.
Drive the creation of persuasive proposal content that addresses customer needs and differentiates Verizon’s value proposition.
Manage proposal reviews and conduct quality and compliance checks to ensure deliverables are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business strategy.
Develop and maintain a centralized content and knowledge library, ensuring materials are current, accurate, and accessible.
