Global Bid Proposals Manager
About The Position
The Global Bid Proposals Manager oversees proposal activities from team assignment and template creation through delivery of a well-written, competitive proposal. The manager leads and guides proposal teams throughout development, manages schedules and review cycles, and contributes to pursuing and capturing new business. The role involves routine to complex assignments, applying project management principles and approaches, and using knowledge of Verizon technologies, policies, practices, and procedures. It calls for strong communication, team-building, and leadership abilities. The role manages the full proposal lifecycle, including RFP analysis and strategy, coordination of proposal milestones and contributors, development of persuasive content, quality and compliance reviews, and maintenance of a centralized content and knowledge library. The position is hybrid, with a defined work location combining work from home and at least three days per week in the office. Travel of up to 25% is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
- Proposal management work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data management programs.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Strong verbal and written communication, team-building, leadership, and project-management abilities.
- Ability to manage complex opportunities and competing priorities under deadlines and pressure.

Responsibilities
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify requirements and evaluation criteria, prepare proposal outlines and compliance matrices, establish response strategies, and identify potential gaps.
- Manage the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, including schedules, milestones, drafting, reviews, production, status meetings, and allocation of leaders, writers, and subject matter experts.
- Drive the creation of persuasive proposal content positioned to address customer needs and differentiate Verizon’s value proposition.
- Manage proposal reviews and conduct quality and compliance checks to ensure deliverables are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business strategy.
- Develop and maintain a centralized content and knowledge library, ensuring materials are current, accurate, and accessible.
- Manage, mentor, motivate, and support team members, coordinating diverse response teams and contributing across roles as needed.
