About The Position

As part of the OpenRoad Collision group DBA OpenRoad Calibrations, the Glass Technician installs, repairs, and replaces automotive, residential, or commercial glass, with a focus on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

Experience in glass installation or auto body repair; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace windshields, door glass, back glass, mirrors, and other glass components.
Inspect vehicles, windows, or structures to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs.
Safely remove broken or damaged glass and thoroughly clean the work area.
Use adhesive systems, hand tools, and power tools accurately and in compliance with safety standards.
Ensure proper sealing, bonding, and curing of glass installations.
Follow industry safety protocols and company procedures.
Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment.
Document work performed using company systems or work orders.
Assist with mobile service appointments as required.
