About The Position
Shodair is looking to add a Genetic Counseling Assistant to our Medical Genetics team! The Genetic Counseling Assistant will work as a team member with the Genetic Counselors and other clinicians, assisting them with aspects of patient intake, genetic counseling, documentation and post-clinic follow-up duties.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Prior experience with patient and or family contact in a community or medical setting
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with clinical projects
- Ability to establish priorities and organize work as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, biological/health science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Assisting with aspects of patient intake
