About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide essential surgical care within a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment. As a Locum General Surgeon, you will deliver comprehensive surgical services across a range of general surgical procedures, working alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and support staff. Your expertise will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and the continued delivery of high-quality medical care in the community.
Requirements
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice
- Associate-level experience in general surgery
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency in performing a broad range of general surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
- Willingness to work on-site and participate in on-call schedules
- Must be board-certified
- DEA certification
Responsibilities
- Perform general surgical procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols and standards of care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for surgical patients
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Provide consultations and referrals as appropriate for patient care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options and outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency surgical coverage as required
- Stay current with advancements in general surgical techniques and best practices
- ER and inpatient general surgery coverage
