About The Position

The General Service Technician provides quality service and premium vehicle repair in a timely manner. The role follows and promotes the Company mission, operates in accordance with its core values, and contributes to the success of the functional team. Responsibilities include basic vehicle maintenance and tire services, vehicle inspections, customer service, and maintaining a safe and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong customer service skills and a desire to build long-term trust and relationships with customers.
• Willingness to work Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in basic car care; helpful but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and oil filters in cars and light trucks.
• Install, repair, and rotate automobile tires.
• Inspect and top off engine fluids.
• Lubricate frontend parts as needed.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections using a checklist of potential trouble spots, including belts, hoses, and brakes.
• Move and operate customer vehicles into and out of service bays.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with coworkers and management.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and functional.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Represent the organization professionally, projecting trust, honesty, and respect.
