About The Position

The Automotive Technician reports to the Store and Service Managers and performs basic and advanced vehicle maintenance and repair. The role includes inspecting vehicles for potential problems, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles perform appropriately while providing a high level of customer service. Technicians apply automotive repair knowledge, keep current with changing automotive technology, follow company policies and safety standards, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

At least 2 years of professional automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic experience.
Must have technician tools.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate and drive vehicles.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills and a desire to build long-term trust and relationships with customers.
Willingness to work Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform basic and advanced automotive maintenance and repair tasks.
Inspect vehicles for potential problems and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper vehicle performance.
Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge.
Provide high-quality service to customers.
Perform skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems.
Inspect, replace, or repair defective parts and perform preventative maintenance on automobiles.
Continuously learn technical information and techniques to keep up with changing automotive technology.

Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
